Sun Park is recognized for her dedication to music education and leadership in nonprofit initiatives. Driven by a passion for expanding access to music education, she has devoted herself to creating meaningful opportunities for young musicians through extensive collaboration with educational institutions and nonprofit organizations.
She currently serves as President of the Fort Worth Piano Teachers Forum, Chair and Director of the TMTA-affiliated FWMTA Piano Ensemble, and Ex-Officio Member of the Board of Directors of The Cliburn. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Sun Park Foundation for Music Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting the next generation of musicians through scholarships, educational initiatives, and performance opportunities.
Sun Park earned a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with dual emphases in Piano and Percussion Pedagogy. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Instrumental Music Major of the Year Award at Texas Wesleyan University and a three-time winner of the SAI American Music Competition.
She believes that music education is about far more than musical achievement. She encourages students to cultivate humility, confidence, artistic curiosity, and a lifelong love of music. Her greatest hope is to inspire young musicians to become compassionate leaders who use their gifts to make a meaningful impact on their communities through music.
