Student Achievements

  • May – 74 students are winners in the National Piano Guild Auditions! Eight are selected as top-talent rating!!

  • Four MusicMaker students selected as All-Stars for the TMTA state convention!

  • April – Damoyee Neroes wins 3rd place for the state of Texas in the TMTA Original Composition Contest – Ensemble Division!

  • April – FWMTA Solo Contest – Kiera DiCesare places 3rd for Division 8 and receives recitalist honors, and Sarah Heym, Andrew Heym and Joana Gomez are selected as recitalist with a Superior+ rating!

  • Fall/Spring TMTA Theory Exam – 45 students earn a medal scoring 90 or above!

2016

Congrats to all of our students achieving so much in piano during 2016!

  • October 15 – Thirty-five students participate in the FWMTA Fall Festival at TCU earning Excellent, Superior and Superior Plus ratings. Way to go!

  • September 24 – Eight students perform at Day in the District to promote cultural awareness for the City of Fort Worth.

  • National Piano Guild Auditions – Two MusicMaker students receive top talent international rating!

2015

  • January – Six Students from the MusicMaker Creative Arts Center in Southlake wrote compositions selected to represent the Fort Worth Music Teachers Association in the Texas Music Teachers Original Composition Contest. Their compositions will be judged by noted composers, and the top 3 compositions will be selected in April. Wish them luck! Congratulations to Henry Scott (4th grade), Dorothy Scott (2nd grade), Mia Geist (5th grade), Damoyee Neroes (8th grade), Elizabeth Dean (3rd grade) and Ellie Yu (3rd grade)!

2014

This should be cool copy about inspirational highlights that happened in the year….

  • November – Twenty students from the MusicMaker Creative Arts Center in Southlake ranging from grades 1-10 scored a 90 or above on their Texas Music Teachers Association theory exam. They will receive medals from the TMTA for their accomplishments. Way to go!
